WIGAN’S current chosen indiepop few, The Lathums, have announced a return to live performance for the first time since their sold-out February tour when they play the historic Blackpool Tower, just up the M6 in coastal Lancs, with the show streaming in HD audio and video – for free – from 8pm British Summer Time next Wednesday, October 28th.
The quartet’s pre-Covid live shows recruited a fervent fanbase; so in these darker times the lads have decided to play this special one-off show as a thank you.
Live From Blackpool Tower will see the band play old live faves alongside recent releases, including the punchy latest single, “I See Your Ghost” and other tracks from the forthcoming Ghosts EP, which will be released by Island on October 30th.
The show was filmed in the tower’s ornate Circus Room under Covid-safe conditions prior to Lancashire’s Tier 3 status being confirmed, and gave a currently rare chance for the band to loosen up and get loud.
