The Professionals, the outfit formed by Paul Cook and Steve Jones out of the ashes of the Sex Pistols, have announced a bunch of UK dates as part of their Back and Better Tour 2023. Still led from his drum chair by Cook, he’s joined by Jones’ long term replacement Tom Spencer, alongside Dean Croney on guitar and Marc Hayward on bass.

The 18 date tour starts in Liverpool at EBGB’s on 26th October and concludes at Islington Academy on 18th  November. Six of the shows see The Professionals play with fellow punk legends The Rezillos and support is to be confirmed for the remaining headline shows.

Of the tour, Paul comments “From penthouse to pavement, After the high flying Gen Sex tour, it’s back down to earth with the Professionals playing all the deep down and dirty gigs around the uk and I wouldn’t want it any other way – really looking forward to the tour. All the usual madness guaranteed. See you there folks 🤟”

Added to that is the news that the band are to release a new gatefold sleeve double vinyl pressing of their albums ’What in the World’ on red vinyl and SNAFU on white vinyl. The double vinyl album comes with a free CD featuring a brand new track and a surprise cover.

The new double vinyl album can be purchased here : https://theprofessionalsband.com/sho
