We have long loved indie label Fortuna Pop! and so have a good amount of indie pop gatherers as the label makes it to 20 years. They’ve already been celebrating with a show in Cardiff at Wales Goes POP!, and have a show in NYC as part of the Popfest there, and add to that a weekend of sun, sand, sea and pop shows in Ramsgate, specifically the increasingly legendary Music Hall there (Britain’s Best Small Venue – NME) on the Friday and Saturday, and a Sunday afternoon show at The Ravensgate Arms, owned by craft brewery Late Knights.

Already on the bill were headliners Allo Darlin’ (Friday), Darren Hayman And The Secondary Modern (Saturday) and ex-Broken Family Band main man Steven James Adams (Sunday), along with Tigercats, Mammoth Penguins, Pete Astor, The Catenary Wires (featuring Rob Pursey and Amelia Fletcher, previously of Tender Trap), and a special appearance by Peel favourites Bearsuit. Add to that now the brilliant and prolific Wave Pictures, and you have something that is frankly, unmissable. So don’t.

As well as three days of Fortuna POP!’s finest there will also be a Saturday daytime treasure hunt around the Thanet Coast that’s highly likely to end up in some ice cream parlour or other.
