News: Thornhill Announce Largest Australian Headline Tour To Date

Melbourne’s Thornhill will bring their third album Bodies home next February, announcing their first Australian shows since the record’s release — and the largest headline venues of their career. The run begins in Brisbane on Saturday 21 February before heading through Sydney, Perth, and Adelaide, with a finale at Melbourne’s Forum on 27 February. It’s the first chance for Australian audiences to see Bodies in full flight, following the album’s chart success earlier this year: #4 on the ARIA Top Albums Chart and triple j’s Feature Album on release week.

“This is our first headline run since the album dropped, and we’ve put everything into making it something memorable. These are the biggest shows we’ve played on our own, and we’ve curated a lineup that feels really special to us.”

That lineup stretches well beyond the local scene. Amira Elfeky (USA) will make her Australian debut, bringing material from her Surrender EP and a reputation as one of Gen Z’s most intriguing heavy-alt voices. Japan’s Paledusk return after past festival and tour appearances, bringing their industrial-tinged, genre-smashing live show. Melbourne’s own Heavensgate complete the bill, fresh from a Pure Noise/Greyscale signing and the release of new single Oblivion.

Thornhill’s 2025 has been defined by momentum. After three sold-out preview shows earlier in the year, they closed Bodies with overseas tours alongside Sleep Token across North America, and upcoming headline dates in Europe and the UK. The Australian tour, however, marks a different milestone: a hometown celebration of where the band stands ten years on from their formation, with their heaviest and most expansive work to date.
