London trio bar italia have been building quite a reputation for their minimalist brand of cool indie rock, and this has lead to their signing with iconic US label Matador and Remote Control Records. They are developing an admirable work rate as they release their second full length of 2023, ‘The Twits’, on 3 November, less than six months after their Matador debut, ‘Tracey Denim’.

This is heralded by the single ‘My Little Tony’ – a louche yet frenetic tumble of a track with its cool dissociated vocals and fuzzy onslaught of guitars:

‘my little tony’ is available to download and stream here. ‘The Twits’ is available to pre-order here and through the link below:

bar italia are the London based three-piece of Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi and Sam Fenton.

The band has a busy 2023 schedule with a UK and European tour through September-November, including a sold-out London headline at Village Underground on 7 November. They will make festival appearances at Stay Out West and Pitchfork Music Festival Paris among others. They return to the US in December for their first full North American tour, including a sold out Bowery Ballroom in New York on December 4th.

bar italia have also announced further North American dates for spring 2024 and an additional London headline show which will take place May 2nd at Electric Brixton following the November date selling out.
