News: You Me At Six release new single ‘heartLESS’

One of the most successful bands to emerge from the UK in recent years, You Me At Six, have today released a brand new single titled ‘heartLESS’ via Underdog Records / AWAL Recordings.

Speaking of the track Josh Franceschi says “heartLESS was a song we’ve been sitting on for years knowing it would always come out. It’s a song about feeling insecure and yet accepting of whatever may come. I wrote this song about someone close to me in the middle ground of a break up and falling in love.”

The release of ‘heartLESS’ follows the near frenzy of excitement reached by fans after the band confirmed the release of their 8th studio record, ‘Truth Decay’, along with a UK wide tour in 2023.    To mark the release of the album, the band have partnered with Music Declares Emergency and have made available a very limited number of Truth Decay ‘Decayed Versions’ (all unique and hand-customised by the band). Made from recycled plastics and paint, a portion of the sales from this version will go to Music Declares Emergency’s ‘No Music On A Dead Planet’ campaign.

Of the partnership Josh says:
“We wanted to do something fun for fans but also something that told the story about this record.  So we decided to represent decaying records by spray painting and burning them and generally doing whatever we could without actually breaking them!  It felt important to further the message with these and team up with the ‘No Music On A Dead Planet’ campaign who do great work to raise awareness of global warming and how the music industry can help steady the decline of the planet”.

A Music Declares Emergency spokesperson adds:
“We are delighted to be working with You Me At Six on their new album release. As a band that has been unafraid to speak out on the climate emergency we are proud to partner with them on the limited edition version of ‘Truth Decay’ and hope their fans will enjoy the album and the message that there is No Music On A Dead Planet.”

You Me At Six are masters of their genre, representing pop rock & emo on a global level, with two UK Number 1 albums including 2021’s ‘SUCKAPUNCH’ and a further 4 Top 10 Records. They have amassed over half a billion streams across platforms, have graced the covers of global magazines and have had 18 singles on BBC Radio One playlist alone; well and truly proving their mainstream appeal.

The band recently celebrated the 10 year anniversary of their milestone UK Gold certified album, ‘Sinners Never Sleep’.  The newly packaged UK album was released alongside two very special sold-out shows.

With a busy year ahead and a tour and new album coming in 2023, You Me At Six can safely enjoy their status as one of the biggest and most prolific British bands of the 21st Century.
