Last month, we premiered the beautiful ‘Anchors’, the lead single proper from Chicagoan export Annie Toth’s debut album as AM Higgins – a solo project that’s fleshed out into a full band on said 8-song record, called Hymning (which was signposted earlier in the year by teaser track ‘Peaks & Plains’). Toth is now based in rural France, and that experience of leaving behind a bustling metropolis for something alien yet welcoming is documented on the full-length. Ahead of its imminent arrival via Toulouse-based label Victorialand (named, of course, after the 1986 album by Cocteau Twins), we’re delighted to share the whole thing.
