Premiere: Axel Filip releases video for No Me Cascoteen el Rancho

A stalwart of the Buenos Aires jazz scene, drummer Alex Filip has released a video for No Me Cascoteen el Rancho, taken from his album El Equilibrio Secreto de Las Cosas. he’s drafted in the main men from the local scene in Juan Bayon, Nicolas Boccanera and trumpeter Sebastian Greschuk appear, alongside Camila Nebbia and vocalist Mariana Iturri.

The track is this loose, swinging Latin jazz number, Iturri’s vocal smooth vocal sweeping over the accompaniment, driven by Filips formidable drums chops, but also solid work in the rhythm section mixing up the grooves. The accompanying video is the band in action, beautifully shot, Nd we’re delighted to premiere it on Backseat Mafia today.
