Big Mono are a brand new band that came together during the pandemic from classic rock fans. The band are set for an album due in mid ’23. Here at Backseat Mafia we are very excited to be premiering the bands video for their debut single ‘A Thousand Times’ which is taken from the bands debut album.
Neil stated:
“I think we all knew this track was how we wanted to introduce the band. It’s the perfect Big Mono calling card. It was the first we song wrote, we love playing it and can’t wait for people to hear”
Asked about the lyrics, lead singer Drew added:
“The principle of the song is atonement; how a man could atone for his past by protecting and looking after his children. It was a song I wrote about my father”.
Confident rock vocals take charge as the track gets into its groove with the scorching lead work and solid drumming that has the track fizzing with good old rock vibes. The guys have tapped into a seam of some good old-fashioned rock music, the perfect antidote for those missing riff-driven guitar led tunes. You’ve got to love the build-up to the wah drenched face melting guitar solo. Light ’em up.
