London based singer-songwriter Col Gerrard returns with the thoughtful new single ‘Nowhere’, and we’re excited to be running the premiere. With a rich history of success as a songwriter for others, a musician in his own right and a writer and director, Col’s new single is the first of a series of releases planned through 2023.

Produced by renowned Emmy Award winner Matthew McCauley, ‘Nowhere’ is a great example of Col’s sound and songwriting style, personal, honest yet subtly catchy. Blending elements of Americana within the understated yet impactful instrumentation, ‘Nowhere’ offers a warming sense of melancholic nostalgia with story telling lyricism over the rich soundscape. Strummed acoustics, crunchy guitar riffs, swelling organ, tight drums surround Col’s smokey, effortlessly emotive and captivating lead vocal.

Speaking about the inspiration for the single, Col adds: “This track was created and written in Los Angeles when I saw a woman walking by herself on the beach. The track is about something being so close but you just can’t reach it”
