Taken from her new album Two Years, we’re delighted to premiere the new video from Emily Rodgers for the track Walk Don’t Run. It’s her first album since 2009’s Bright Day, and she’s drafted in legendary producer Kramer, who worked with both Galaxie 500 and Low. Although there’s shades of the alt-country about Walk Don’t Run, particularly the pedal steel and fiddle in the arrangment, there’s something more about it. The intensity of the track hangs over you throughout, Rodgers world weary vocal both imploring and inspiring in equal measure. It’s startling emotive quality is highlighted by the winding fiddle lines and the tangible melancholy in the melody.
