We caught onto Leeds five piece alt-rockers Fighting Caravans early, after they played for us at one of our backseat mafia presents shows, and we could spot straight away that they had something rather special.
Given that, we’re delighted to be able to premiere Tyrannosaur, taken from their debut EP Beasts of England, out on October 1st (available for preorder from the band’s band camp page, http://fightingcaravans.bandcamp.com)
It opens with these ominous guitar sounds, both riffs and this glorious aching sound ove the top. There’s something of the murder ballad about the song, as it tells the story, stripped back at first, before this bluesy blacking leaks through. It marches onward, dragging the listener along with its intoxicating mix of alt rock and melody.
