Josh Northwood returns with the expansive and emotive new single ‘Paradise’. Needless to say, we’re very excited to be running the premiere!

The Worcester Indie-folk singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer captures an honesty, emotion and personal reflective tone on ‘Paradise’. Keeping the track relatively stripped with intertwining electric guitar lines, immersive reverbs, piano and subtle electronics but no drums, the single relies only only on a muted, pillowy kick to give the track a pulse while Northwood’s delicate, silky lead vocal floats elegantly among the atmospheric backing.

Comparable to the likes of Bon Iver and Ben Howard, the track’s tone, emphasis on beautiful melodies, immersive sounds and emotion, ‘Paradise’ is effortlessly affecting and cinematic.

Speaking about the single, Northwood adds: “This track is about how fleeting life is – and how important it is to be present in between the beauty and the pain. I want to be here for it all with my loved ones and with the things I’m most passionate about.”

Taken from an upcoming new album due later this year, the singer-songwriter displays a remarkable amount of promise, setting a high bar for the album to come.
