We are very pleased to premiere the new single ‘Like I’m Living’ from Oceanique, the twin sister folk duo from culturally exploding city of Perth. With a gossamer delicacy that floats in the air, the vocals and feather light acoustic guitars are ethereal, laced with an air of melancholy and a dreamy reverie. Harmonies weave throughout the gently floating instrumentation.

The duo says of the track:

‘Like I’m Living’ is a song about navigating life in your early 20s, when we wrote this one, we both were finishing our studies and it really felt like we were stepping into the real world. We felt life shifting, things around us changing and we were standing in the centre watching everything move.

The sense of mutability is poignantly expressed in the yearning and atmospheric delivery. Oceanique have produced a glorious indie pop gem with indelible melodies and shimmering instrumentation:

The result is something quite transfixing. ‘Like I’m Living’ is out tomorrow (Thursday, 15 September) and can be pre-saved here. You can catch Oceanique live over the next few months – details below.
