Taken from his forthcoming album Paisaje, out on July 26th via ears&eyes records, Argentinian jazz trumpeter Sebastian Greschuk has release a new video for Boomerang, and we’re delighted to premiere it here on backseatmafia.com
Part of the burgeoning Buenos Aires jazz scene, Greschuk is joined on the record by pianist Nicolas Boccanera, bassist Sebastian de Urquiza and drummer Matias Crouzeilles. The track has shades of Clifford Brown and Chet Baker (doesn’t every trumpeter search for this, but not all are as successful as Greschuk) but Boomerang is this funk filled, rhodes heavy jaunt – light in mood but heavy in substance as each player takes his turn in the spotlight.
