Despite only being together for a couple of years, Sydney three piece RÜFÜS – Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt have been busy. Already topping the charts in their home nation with Atlas, they had multiple sell out tours around Australia, as well as playing parties in NYC and festivals all over the world.
They’re now preparing to release their debut album, and from it comes the lead single Desert Night, out on 24th February via Columbia. Is a laid back, chilled out almost Balearic sort of a beat, that’s been given a dramatic rework by UK producer DE$iGNATED.
He’s given it a more housey feel, and the track builds from these sort of analogue like sounds at the beginning into this shimmering, bass heavy (and what a bass) dancefloor filler. The echo drenched vocal works so well with the contrast of the party vibe going on elsewhere, its impossible not to fall in love with. So until you can buy it, knock yourselves out, play and fall in love.
