Say Psych News: Bonfire Nights announce tour dates and ‘Heart’s to Blame’ video

Following the release of their thunderous debut album, Entopica Phenomica, London-based psych-rock quartet Bonfire Nights have announced an impressive thirteen date tour starting on 02 March 2017. To coincide with this and to build the hype prior to their European adventure, they’ve also shared the brand new video for ‘Heart’s To Blame’.

Founders Steve Foster and Ruth Nitkiewicz travelled to the secluded Outer Hebrides in Scotland in order to write material for their next record, finding a productive clarity being away from the city. It was in this isolated and natural environment that they filmed the new video.

When asked to describe the experience, Ruth described that the video “was shot on a beach on the Isle of Benbecula. The weather is absolutely wild up here. When there was a break in the weather, we ventured out to a nearby beach. There wasn’t another soul to be seen for miles. We set up our camera and just started shooting. There is an unseen force here, something that allowed us to harness the melancholy of the song.”

The sombre and deserted surrounding provide a haunting backdrop to a moody, enchanting rhythm before the vocals of Steve come in to play, channelling the spirit of Ian Curtis. This is Bonfire Nights doing what they do best, producing layered psychedelia with anthemic duel vocals that will stay with you for days.

You can catch them live on the following dates and places:
