Modern Stars are Andrea Merolle, Barbara Margani and Andrea Sperduti. Andrea and Andrea played in several bands of the Latium underground scene, while Barbara is a lyric soprano. Their music is instinctive and at the same time flickering, fuzzy, aerial, groovy, bizarre, distorted, harmonious and dissonant. They are heavily influenced by Spacemen 3, Primal Scream, Suicide and a lot of other less-known musicians. BSM brings you the premiere of their new video for the first single ‘Jesus Walks Alone’.
In their debut album Silver Needles, released this month, an angelic voice and a hoarse voice tells, in seven tracks, the evolution of life on a carpet of acoustic, electric and electronic instruments that merge together on often obsessive grooves inspired by Indian raga.
