News: Blackberry Smoke announce October UK Tour

It should be no surprise that Atlanta, Georgia rockers Blackberry Smoke are out on the road, on average they spend most of their time touring, on average playing in excess of 200 dates per year. That hard work is reaping its rewards with their debut UK album ‘The Wippoorwill’ gaining plaudits just about everywhere and gatecrashing the UK album chart at #30.

The band make this classic sounding Southern rock, almost timeless in its approach, that has proved a winning combination for critics and fans. It’s harmony driven, sun-baked, emotion filled storytelling and the new UK dates the band have just announced will surely be snapped up.

The band are looking foreward to it too, vocalist and guitarist, Charlie Starr saying, “Our last European tour was just too damn short, so we can’t wait to come back and play for the people who couldn’t make it to the last shows.”  Guitarist Paul Jackson adding; “We had a blast in Europe on the last tour and can’t wait to head back over for the Fall run.  The country and people were amazing and beautiful. So much excitement and great getting to hang and shake hands with everyone.”

The new dates rack up as follows:

Wed 15th Oct – DUBLIN Academy
Thu 16th Oct – GLASGOW O2 ABC
Fri 17th Oct – MANCHESTER Ritz
Sun 19th Oct – LONDON O2 Shepherds Bush Empire
Tue 21st Oct – CAMBRIDGE Junction
Wed 22nd Oct – BIRMINGHAM Institute
