Former Wu-Lyf man Tom McClung is back with a follow up to his 2019 debut ‘A Dream Is U’ under his Francis Lung; called Miracle, it’s out on Memphis Industries on June 18th, and for vinyl fans – it’s available on a Dinked Edition (more info here), and is preceded by a new single ‘Bad Hair Day’.
It’s uplifting indie pop, with a good dose of Pet Sounds Beach Boys in there, along with some classic tempo changes, this earworm guitar line, and the sort of melodies that would have had me grabbing my knitted sleeves, throwing my hair around and on my pump tiptoes back in the days when I could have gotten away with it attending indie discos.
Single of the year? – It’s got to be up there. Check it out, here
