From the ever giving Bongo Joe portal, key communicator from the Geneva underground scene and beyond, comes news of Tout Bleu’s second album ‘Otium’ due for release on 10th December.

Revolving around multi- instrumentalist Simone Aubert’s urgent creativity Tout Bleu’s self- titled first LP in 2019 was a record of intense twists and turns, at times luxuriant, at times more brutal. ‘Otium’ promises a more collective focus with electronic musician/producer Pol plus Naomi Mabanda (cello) and Luciano Turello (sax) adding other dimensions to the heady Tout Bleu soundscape.

This next peep into the band’s evolving music, ‘Rucksucre’ suggests new textures, sonic layers and greater directness will define ‘Otium’ as an album. The preview track is a muscular string driven thing where deft loops and clicks build a rolling groove while insistent vocals gather in protest. With dark folk and electronics finely balanced, signs are that Tout Bleu’s dynamism has been recharged and is now ready to push defiantly forward.
