See: Jamie Isaac reveals new video for Doing Better, plus UK/US tour dates

Doing Better is the the first single to be taken from producer, singer-songwriter and all round musical polymath Jamie Isaac. After the success of his debut album Couch Baby, he’s returned with his engaging electronic soul, with flakes of hip-hop and driven by his emotive piano playing. It’s a fragile thing, with gently stuttering beats and tumbling keys, with Isaac’s airey vocals given some added sparkle with slow moving strings and octave backing vocals. It’s this drifting, warm thing of beauty.

Its accompanied by a video, directed by Xavier Damase (J Hus – Did You See). All of Isaac’s new music has been designed with the intention to be consumed in transit – in the car, on the bus, walking to work, so the concept behind the video makes perfect sense – Isaac and friends driving through South East London’s nightscape, vibing out. Watch here.

Jamie Isaac has also announced shows in London, New York and LA in June, including his biggest headline gig to date (London’s Village Underground June 12th) which should prove an unmissable chance to catch a star on the rise. As a warm up he will be supporting Nick Hakim on the UK leg of his tour this month.

Tour dates:

Monday 12th February, Hare & Hounds, Birmingham *
Tuesday 13th February, The Lantern, Bristol *
Wednesday 14th February, Koko, London *
Thursday 15th February, Brudenell Social Club, Leeds *
Friday 16th February, King Tut’s, Glasgow *
Saturday 17th February, Deaf Institute, Manchester *
Tuesday 12th June, Village Underground, London
Monday 18th June, Rough Trade, New York
Wednesday 20th June, Moroccan Lounge, Los Angeles, USA

* with Nick Hakim
