When we first came across Sextile, we made no bones [at least I didn’t] in claiming they were one of the best bands we’d heard in…. well ever!!! Combining all the best elements, of all the best that the vast post-punk genre has to offer – think Jesus & Mary Chain, Siouxsie, Joy Divison, think harder , Clock DVA, Pylon – the LA band impressed us with their first release, Can’t Take It and continued to meet, and even surpass, expectations with their debut album A Thousand Hands making it an easy choice as my album of the year 2015.
So, it is with great pleasure and a quite a bit of excitement that we are able to tell you that their second album, Albeit Living will be released by felte on July 14th. In addition, we’ve also been reliably informed that UK tour dates are pending. I’m personally so excited about this that I ran outside and told the first person I bumped into. They looked at me kind of blank, so I slunk back inside and told you lot instead. Genuinely can’t wait – but as we do, we can subdue our ardour with this…
