It’s been a good week for Tame Impala having won 5 awards at the ARIA Awards, including album of the year and best group, adding another date at Alexandra Palace in London as part of their spring tour, and now releasing a new video for ‘The Less I know the better’, taken from their album Currents.
It buzzes through this uplifting prog/synth based pop (comes easy to those rascals) decorated with a suitably soulful/faded vocal line and despicably catchy chorus, as it head-nods (often uncontrollably) towards funk, soul, indie, prog and little soup-sans of just about everything else. Catch the new video, which features high school romance, or at least objects of desires, and indeed desire itself. As well as a gorilla…. I’ll leave it with you
