Woah, they’re back. After keeping largely out of the spotlight since the tragic death of Lisa Left Eye Lopes, The R&B jugganaught that is TLC is steaming back into town, and they’re gonna make your ass shake with it. On the back of a joyous (and first-ever) European show at London’s Koko and becoming the most funded Kickstarter campaign in the it’s history, with the likes of Katy Perry amongst the first to donate, the band are to release their new self-titled album, which drops on June 30th. Alongside that, they’ve just released a new video (their first for a decade) for latest single ‘Way Back’ as well as drafting in Snoop Dogg to guest on the track.
Way back is this sunny, R&B belter, with this gluey, fat bassline that liberally covers anything. As befits the best-selling American girl group of all time, its pop gold with a chorus which is gloriously familiar. Add to that Snoop rocking his irresistable lines and its a Summer winner. Check the girls out, out and about, on the roof, casting their eyes over the neighbourhood and rocking some sweet dance moves into the bargain in the accompanying video.
