London based singer/songwriter A.A Williams has announced the release of her debut album ‘Forever Blue’ on July 3rd via Bella Union. To mark the occasion Williams has shared a haunting animated video for immersive lead track ‘All I Asked For (Was To End It All)’ created by Craig Murray.

Of the video Williams says: “I’m so pleased to have been able to work with Craig Murray on this video. Before hearing his ideas I had fallen in love with his hand-drawn artwork, so I was delighted when he suggested a video in this style – the musical textures of the song are beautifully complimented by his organic approach and focus on natural elements.

The track opens with some somber chords played on piano and quiet crashes of a cymbal. Its all very haunting and suspense filled but when that voice kicks in it’s taken to another level. Deep smokey female vocals over a sweeping violin and guitar with just the right amount of distortion. The female version of Mark Lanegan with the lyrics to match.

It explodes in a joyous descent into darkness epic with sliding guitar and pounding drums. If you have heard her work with Mono you know what she is capable of. With ‘All I Asked For (Was To End It All)’ she continues that magic which has already gained her so many fans. You do not want to miss this one.
