UK experimental metal 4-piece Asian Death Crustacean will be releasing their debut album ‘Baikal’ this summer. And taken from it is this crushing new single ‘Baikal V’.
This is a hefty slab of doomy sludgey goodness. Progressive in all the right ways without being self indulgent. Gets a little technical in places which is nice, drops off to some glorious and beautiful softer moments, and then all comes charging back like an angry bear in the woods.
“Baikal V features the big range of dynamics and mood you can expect more of on the full record, opening with one of the album’s heaviest sections and developing into some of its most melodic passages. This track was the last to be written for the album and we enjoyed experimenting with letting concepts play themselves out for longer here, giving this part of the record a distinct character.”
This is a truly massive track. I for one will be buying their album, which comes out on June 26th.
