Track: Deadletter – Mother

Deadletter have shared their new single ‘Mother’, which is the latest track to be taken from their forthcoming debut album ‘Hysterical Strength’ due out on the 13th of September via SO Recordings. ‘Mother’ follows lead single ‘Mere Mortal‘ and was produced by famed British producer Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Adele)

Lead singer Zac Lawrence says about the song:

“Mother takes direct inspiration from the Bong Joon Ho film of the same name, but also hones in on the wider idea of motherhood, and the lengths that a mother will go to for their child.”

A booming, confident strutt is done with flowing psyche guitars and bursts of the saxophone to the cacophony of crashing cymbals. Lawrence’s rabid vocals on the verses are the sound of a modern-day preacher, as the band lays down this modern hymn.
