East LA indie rockers Ear Ringers have shared a new track, ‘What You Know,’ which was originally created by the Irish indie rock band Two Door Cinema Club.
The band comments:
We are excited to share that we’ll be releasing a cover of one of the most iconic indie songs of the last decade. ‘What you know’ is a song by the Irish indie band Two Door Cinema Club. We’ve always held them in such high regards and are the inspiration to Ear Ringers formation. We asked ourselves “how are we gonna do this?” It was a bit of a challenge but our goal was to keep the same upbeat energy but make it our own song. We think our version will throw everyone off in a good way, in hopes that we gave the song justice.
It’s a track that fits so perfectly in the band’s catalogue that you could believe they wrote it. Building it up with that infectious riff, they make it very much their own with a notable twist to the lyrics the tracks brought alive in true Ear Ringers style.
