The Adult Swim Singles Program continues unabated (that programme being releasing a free single every week digitally) with a new release from American singer, songwriter, record producer, composer and artist Julia Holter. Called ‘So humble the afternoon’ its this slightly eerie and unnerving slow burner, built on this repeating two note synth pattern over which she builds angelic backing vocals, tumbling eletronics, guitar and finally strings, who take it in turns to add their own individual and without exception beautiful stamp before it meanders away into an electronic haze.
