Icelandic blues/rock band Kaleo debut an acoustic live performance video of ‘Surface Sounds’ lead single ‘I Want More’, accompanied by a string ensemble at Skálholt Cathedral.

Performing solo up until the second verse, Frontman JJ Julius Son’s serene vocal and acoustic guitar are supplemented by violins (Sigrún Harðardóttir, Ásta Kristín Pjetursdóttir, Guðbjartur Hákonarson and Chrissie Guðmundsdóttir), violas (Karl James Pestka and Þórunn Harðardóttir) and cellos (Unnur Jónsdóttir, Hrafnhildur Marta Guðmundsdóttir and Júlía Mogensen), leading into the bridge, idyllically whistled by Julius Son, beautifully amplified by the natural acoustics of the cathedral.

A very special performance that grabs hold from the very start with this special track. Son’s vocals are such, that all he needs is an acoustic guitar to captivate, and with the addition of the strings we are treated to something special indeed.
