Wedadi is the fourth single to be released by Ghana/UK rapper Kobi Onyame to be taken from his new album Gold. The self produced track features William Onyeabor style synths sounds that gives this retro afrobeat feel, with the stylus sounds and brass lines nd insistent drumming patterns only adding to the ambience.
Lyrically, the song touches dying to ones self to live for others, features the soulful vocals of Kenyan and fellow Glasgow based singer/songwriter Heir of the Cursed who gives the chorus’ some warmth, while the more strident rhymes and opinions of Onyame interject through the verses.
