Hull quintet Low Hummer have shared the video for their third single via Dance to the Radio records. “The Real Thing” sees the band pressing ahead with their desire to experiment and embrace more electronics as guitarist and singer Daniel Mawer explains: “The Real Thing was a bit of experimenting in the studio with our producer Matt.
Its a marriage of electronica and indie punk guitar work making a dance-punk gem the song is another step to the top for Low Hummer. Drums kick off the whole thing with synths and vocals for a cool 80s inspired verse before bringing the noise with the guitars for the chorus. It’s the catchy chord breakdown which gets the foot tapping and head nodding.
Big things are set for this group of very talented multi-instrumentalists.
