London-based five piece Spector have shared their next single – “When Did We Get So Normal?”. This is the fourth and final track to be taken from their ‘Extended Play’ EP. It will be released physically as part of their ‘Non-Fiction’ compilation on 29 April via the band’s own Moth Noise Entertainment.

It has a disco feel with a true Spector style chorus, full band, uplifting and bouncy while singing about “Mortgages and marriages. Waiting in for packages” and the normality of average modern life and a far cry from the shouts of Chevy Thunder. The track feels light and airy carried along with synths and well placed guitar. The drums in particular sound tight with a less is more style of playing.

For a band nearing their 10th year its good to hear they have still have things to sing about and releasing wonderfully produced 3 minutes of joy.

Check it out, here.
