Ohio metalcore mainstays Miss May I have returned with their first new material of 2026, unveiling ‘Die on the Vine’ alongside an accompanying video. The track signals the next chapter for the Troy-formed five-piece, pairing muscular riffing with a more reflective lyrical core.
Built on galloping guitars and tightly controlled breakdowns, ‘Die on the Vine’ stays true to the band’s melodic metalcore framework while widening its thematic lens. “Die on the Vine captures a mid-life reckoning — coming to terms with how deeply childhood experiences and unresolved trauma shape who we become,” the band explain. “The song reflects the moment where denial stops working and self-awareness sets in.”
Miss May I signed to Rise Records while still in high school, releasing 2009’s Apologies Are for the Weak, which charted on the Billboard 200 and helped cement their place within the American metalcore circuit. Their blend of unclean vocals from Levi Benton and clean refrains from bassist Ryan Neff has long been central to their sound, drawing from influences that range from Metallica and Pantera to Killswitch Engage and Lamb of God.
The band are scheduled to appear at Inkcarceration Festival in Ohio and Rock Fest in Wisconsin this July, with further live dates expected to follow.
