Grammy winning reissue label Light In The Attic have announced a comprehensive definitive compilation of Nancy Sinatra’s 65-76 output in a campaign spread out over a year, to celebrate her 80th year.

Confident that this is first time anyone has really done her career justice, there’s a lot more than maybe meets the eye to Nancy Sinatra. She was the one who told She told Lee Hazlewood that he couldn’t sing ‘Boots’ and it needed to be a female voice singing those lyrics, and she is also the one person who’s savvy tactics in a male dominated world has led her to be a long standing role model to female artists.

The definitive compilation – Nancy Sinatra: Start Walkin’ 1965-1976 is out on February 5th and includes solo records, duets with Lee Hazlewood and new interviews. Ahead of the release, the first single off the record has been released, ‘(L’été Indien) Indian Summer’. It’s this smoky and smouldering slice of classiccountry twinged pop, Hazlewood contributing a spoken word part midway through, as it sways and sojourns its way into your heart.

Campaign also includes 7-inch exclusive for Record Store Day’s Black Friday event, collectible calendar, the official launch of an online BOOTIQUE on NancySinatra.com (featuring limited-edition merchandise, vinyl, and autographed items), plus remastered vinyl, CD and digital reissues of classic titles including Boots, Nancy & Lee, and Nancy & Lee Again

Additionally, LITA will reissue a selection of albums from Sinatra’s rich catalog, including her 1966 debut, Boots, plus her first record with Hazlewood, 1968’s Nancy & Lee, and
follow-up, 1972’s Nancy & Lee Again. Featuring newly-remastered audio, each title will be available on vinyl, CD, and across digital platforms. The rollout launches November 27th with a 7-inch single (featuring “Some Velvet Morning” backed with “Tired Of Waiting For You”) being released exclusively for Record Store Day’s Black Friday event. Coinciding with the launch of the campaign is the first-ever official online BOOTIQUE (featuring limited-edition merchandise, vinyl, and autographed items) on NancySinatra.com.
