Sophian, the indie rock sensation hailing from Boorloo/Perth, is setting the scene ablaze with their latest single, ‘Dance With Me‘ and the announcement of their upcoming East Coast tour. Comprising members Sophian, Michael, Tyler, and Julia, the quartet has crafted a punchy and refreshing track that showcases their musical prowess and high spirit.

Frontman Sophian Manik’s captivating vocals take centre stage in ‘Dance With Me’, effortlessly gliding over mesmerising funk-inspired instrumentation. The laid-back rhythmic cadences meld with introspective lyricism, crafting vivid images of wanderlust within its dreamscape – an absolutely infectious delight. Regarding the inspiration behind ‘Dance With Me,’ frontman Sophian Manik reveals, “When I started to write this song, I had just come out of deep conversations with two people I really love, about their feelings of their own self-worth and how they were struggling to see that. I wanted them to know how amazing and special they are and how they just needed a little push to know this.“

Enhancing the enchantment of the single is its accompanying music video, skillfully directed and edited by Sarah Haleem, and filmed at Feld & Co in Boorloo/Perth. The video’s yellow subtitles provide a nostalgic touch reminiscent of early 2000s sing-a-long tracks, while the super8 film edit overlays highlight the band’s fun and vibrant mood with a vintage touch.

Sophian has been on a remarkable journey, marked by notable accomplishments. They have supported COTERIE on their regional tour and graced the stage alongside notable acts like South Summit, DICE, & Mitch Santiago. Adding to their impressive resume, Sophian has achieved the feat of selling out their last three hometown shows and successfully touring regionally in WA. Since their debut in 2022, the band has not only collaborated with renowned artists but has also released six singles, and earned a prestigious ‘WAM Song of the Year’ nomination in 2023 for their track ‘Head Above Water‘.

The band is slated to grace the stage at the Nannup Music Festival and embark on their inaugural East Coast Tour. Additionally, they are set to join the lineup for BOOTY BLOCK PARTY, alongside Bootleg Rascal, Danté Knows, Chandler Jewels, and King Ibis.
