Rat Boy, aka 23-year old singer-songwriter Jordan Cardy, is back with a new track ‘Truth of the youth’, taken from his upcoming second album, more details of which are expected shortly.
It’s the usual thoughtful, attitude ridden Rat Boy affair with his lyrical social commentary and insightful story telling to the fore – “We’re the kids that your parents warned you about” he asserts in the chorus, while underneath, the verse is accompanied by this electro-ska backing that melts into the singalong chorus, as it baths in warm indie chords.
