Los Angeles math-rock masters standards have shared their new track ‘Big Bad’, which is the second single off their upcoming 3rd studio album, ‘Fruit Galaxy’, due out on the 22nd of March.
Guitarist Marcos Mena said,
“Big Bad is a song that makes you want to go wild. We wanted to mix technicality with catchiness to create a fun and short song that would be stuck in your head all day, regardless of the fact that there aren’t any vocals except for video game samples!”
Clean cut funk that’s highly addictive and hugely mesmerising. So much so you don’t notice that you have spent just under three minutes with no vocals. Mena’s guitar playing is beyond exceptional and his talent of pulling out melodic lines from a jumble of notes is not only impressive but hugely enjoyable.
