It’s close to the 20th anniversary of the iconic The Horrors and today they release the fourth single off their forthcoming and much anticipated album ‘Night Life’, out through Fiction Records and Virgin Music Group.

With the core duo of vocalist Faris Badwan and bassist Rhys Webb, the band’s additional new members are Amelia Kidd on keys and Telegram’s Jordan Cook on drums, making the new album the band’s first to not feature all 5 original members.

The band says of the single:

‘More Than Life’ has a different type of intensity to our recent singles, it’s more driving and direct. It was written in the middle of Canary Wharf, which looks more like Blade Runner everyday. It’s such a strange place to do anything creative as the surroundings feel particularly stark

The song is basically about the question of what matters to you and by that point we were definitely clear on where we were heading.

‘More Than Life’ is a glorious, expansive and anthemic track, indicating an exponential development of the band’s sound – cinematic pop that is luminescent with its combination of synths and thundering guitars, Badwan’s vocals deep and sonorous. There is an icy Arctic chill to the sound – an epic theatrical shimmer.

‘More Than Life’ is out now and available to stream and download here.

Due out on 21 March 2025, you can pre-save the album here.
