Track: Yard – Bend

Dublin’s electrifying three-piece Yard have returned with more of their electro noise as they share their latest single ‘Bend’. Yard are known for bridging the gap between techno and noise rock, drawing inspiration from musical heavyweights like SUUNS, Gilla Band, Death Grips, and Nine Inch Nails, Yard’s sound is a concoction of aggressive yet infectious electronic post-punk.

Lead singer Emmet White explains:

“When you are caught in cycles of ‘bending over backwards’ for people and find it hard to realign yourself, you overextend yourself into others’ realities so much that you can’t find your own. You don’t recognise the contorted version of yourself that is left after accommodating the wants of many. This leaves you with physical reactions to this situation with tight, tense, and involuntary body movements.”

Slick and noisy, with frantic, almost furious moments akin to a splash of cold water, The vocals are harsh, backed by the jarring music as both coalesce into a fierce slice of post punk. Drowning in electronic noise and hypnotic riffs, they’re ready to set fire to many a festival stage.
