Live Gallery: Spacey Jane Pack Out the Hordern on Their Most Ambitious Tour Yet 13.06.2025

There’s something about Spacey Jane that makes even a cavernous venue like the Hordern Pavilion feel like a bedroom singalong. Tonight, in Sydney, the Perth indie favourites arrive in full force, midway through their most ambitious run to date — a 20-date Australia and New Zealand tour in support of their third album If That Makes Sense.

The night kicks off with The Moving Stills, who ease the crowd in with their breezy, nostalgic alt-pop. Their jangly guitars and laid-back charm set the tone, drawing early arrivals to the barrier and getting heads nodding with tracks from Wabi Sabi.

Up next is Phoebe Go, whose set shifts the mood into something more intimate. With her crystalline vocals and confessional lyricism, she holds the Hordern in gentle stillness — each song a slow exhale, tracing themes of growing up, letting go, and starting again.

But it’s Spacey Jane the crowd came for — and the roar that greets the band as they walk on stage is enough to rattle the rafters.

Caleb Harper’s vocals land with unfiltered honesty, cutting straight through the noise, while Ashton Hardman-Le-Cornu thrashes and bounds across the stage like a man possessed—his guitar swinging between melody and mayhem with gleeful abandon. His kinetic chaos is thrown into sharp relief by the unshakeable cool of Peppa Lane, who locks into each bassline with surgical precision, barely blinking as the storm rages around her. At the back, drummer Kieran Lama watches it all unfold with Zen-like calm, holding the reins on the bedlam with crisp, controlled rhythms.

This tour marks a new chapter for Spacey Jane — bigger venues, heavier themes, and a sound that’s matured without losing its core. At the Hordern, they remind a sold-out crowd why they became Australia’s most streamed indie band — not with gimmicks or grandeur, but with open-hearted honesty and songs that feel like they’ve been with you all along.

The tour heads to Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle, Hobart and Fremantle next. Tickets HERE.
