Sydney was set aglow last night as Cannons took the stage for their ‘Heartbeat Highway’ album tour show at the iconic Oxford Art Factory. This marked a significant stop on their debut headline tour of Australia, and the Los Angeles trio did not disappoint as they enchanted the crowd with their unique blend of alternative and electro-pop.

Cannons, consisting of the mesmerizing Michelle Joy on vocals, the guitar virtuoso Ryan Clapham, and the multi-talented Paul Davis handling drums and keys, embarked on this tour ahead of their upcoming album release, ‘Heartbeat Highway‘, scheduled for November 10th and available for pre-save now.

The night began on a melodic high with Sydney’s own Dennis, an indie dream pop sensation, setting the stage for Cannons’ grand entrance. Dennis’s ethereal sound was a perfect appetizer, luring the crowd into a world of dreamy melodies and transcendent vibes.

The atmosphere inside Oxford Art Factory was electric, shrouded in dim, moody lighting that created an aura of mystery and anticipation. This venue is known for its ability to channel the energy of the audience into a surge of electricity, and last night was no exception.

Cannons unleashed a captivating setlist that included fan favourites such as ‘Fire for You’, ‘Bad Dream’, and ‘Love Chained’, alongside tracks from their forthcoming album, ‘Heartbeat Highway.’ Songs like ‘Loving You,’ ‘You,’ and ‘Sweeter’ stood out, painting a vivid soundscape that seamlessly melded the nostalgia of the past with the vibrant energy of the upcoming album.

As the night progressed, the trio skillfully navigated through their hits, delivering a performance that was as electrifying as it was enchanting. The synergy between Michelle Joy, Ryan Clapham, and Paul Davis was undeniable, and it was clear that they share a deep passion for their craft.

As the final notes resonated through the air, it was evident that Cannons’ ‘Heartbeat Highway’ tour had left an indelible mark on Sydney. Their dreamy, retro sound, combined with the anticipation of their upcoming album, made this an unforgettable experience in the world of alternative and electro-pop.
