If you’ve been out to see Gaz Coombes on tour recently, the likelihood is you’ll have seen London quartet Furs as well. Certainly Coombes has been lavishing praise upon them as they go. Ahead of the release of their debut album later in the year, the band are back with a new single, I Wanna Know.
With all the chiming synths and rumbling rhythm section, there’s something of 80’s power-pop about it. Its got a tune so infectious its dangerous (and irresistible) as it tumbles over itself with a mixture of joy and grit. Its sweetened further by the added vocal accompaniments that glitter over the chorus, and to top it off there’s a video with added dance routine.
