New Track/Video: Global beatniks Mauskovic Dance Band present pumping single ‘Face’ from soon-come album ‘Bukaroo Bank’

Amsterdam’s leftfield space disco troubadours Mauskovic Dance Band are getting busy. With their new album ‘Bukaroo Bank’ due 28th October via Bongo Joe, it’s time for a second snapshot to cue us up for the main event in the shape of new single ‘Face’ . Streaming now through all the usual operatives, the track pumps with post punk urgency and twitches with no-wave angst. You may be used to MDB’s wild global beat persona, those afrobeat connections and quirky synth bleeps, well that’s all still in place but with a grittier, biting sense of purpose. Finger-pointing chants, echoing ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’, steely guitars and bass-line hyperactivity, it’s like the band discovered their inner ACR/23 Skidoo and came up with something bristling with originality.

Taken alongside the art punk, speed dub excellence of previous single ‘Bukaroo Bank’, the signs are that the soon come album of the same name will be a necessary, winning investment. Same goes for the November live shows – catch a Mauskovic Dance Band hoedown at:
23.11 – Patterns – Brighton
24.11 – Blues Kitchen – Manchester
25.11 – Jazz Café – London

Pre-order your copy of ‘Bukaroo Bank’ by Mauskovic Dance Band from your local record store or direct from: https://themauskovicdanceband.bandcamp.com/album/bukaroo-bank
