News: Dear Seattle’s TOY Tour Set to Kick Off With a Full Tank of Riffs and Emotion

Sydney’s Dear Seattle are about to hit the road, and they’re not coming quietly. Fresh off scoring an ARIA #1 Australian Album and their first-ever ARIA Top 10 placement with third LP TOY, the beloved indie-rock four-piece are taking their new era straight to the fans with a stacked national tour kicking off this May.

TOY isn’t just a victory lap — it’s the sound of a band levelling up. Mixing muscular riffs with melodic hooks and some of their most emotionally sharp songwriting to date, Dear Seattle’s latest is a coming-of-age record disguised as a moshpit invitation. Singles like ‘Evergreen’, ‘Say What You Want’, and ‘Counting Hours’ didn’t just make noise — they made impact, racking up 50,000 Spotify plays on day one and cementing TOY as the only Australian-made record in the ARIA Top 50 during its release week.

Now, it’s time to bring those songs to life — loud, sweaty, and with a few friends along for the ride.

Joining the tour is Heart Attack Man, Cleveland’s finest purveyors of scrappy punk angst and unapologetic hooks. With 2023’s Freak Of Nature still ringing in fans’ ears, the band is finally making their long-awaited Australian debut. “We’re stoked to be heading to Australia for the first time ever,” they say. Us too, Heart Attack Man. Us too.

Rounding out the lineup is Adelaide duo TOWNS, whose feel-good 90s-inspired pop-punk continues to punch hearts and shake heads. Their debut album sentimental slowdown confirmed what fans already knew: this band are pure power in a pastel package.

And opening the night with pure promise is rising Melbourne indie rocker Lucky. With dreamy hooks and a sound tailor-made for fans of beabadoobee and Day Wave, Lucky’s 2024 single Never Know turned plenty of heads — and her live set might just steal a few more.
