News: Fraser Morgan Announces New EP, Shares New Single ‘The Girl In The Library’

Fraser Morgan shares the uplifting and organic new single release ‘The Girl In The Library’ — out today. A self-described “weird rappy Celtic-folk one,” the track is a genre-blurring confession of fleeting connection, unspoken feelings, and the kind of almost-love that lingers long after it ends.

Fraser shares: “The track is like a weird rappy Celtic-folk one and is 100% word-for-word a true story of, unrequited love I guess. The type of love you never get to see through to its end. I carried that heavy feeling with me for a very long time, but I ended up being able to turn that feeling into a positive lesson of which brought me to where I am today and I couldn’t be more grateful.”

The single marks the first taste of his upcoming EP Songs About Girls, due June 1st — a project funded by over 70 fans who helped smash the crowdfunding goal in less than a day. It’s this fiercely independent, emotionally open spirit that’s turning heads across the UK’s underground music scene.

Blending rapid-fire spoken word with folk instrumentation, mandolins and violins swirl behind Fraser’s delivery as he paints a vivid picture of youthful hope, heartbreak, and healing. Produced by Joel Scrimshaw, the track swells like a film score but hits with the emotional punch of a midnight confession. It’s intimate, unfiltered, and unmistakably Fraser Morgan.

Comparisons to Frank Turner, Jamie T, and even Nizlopi come easily, but Morgan is carving a lane of his own — one where laughter and grief, punk energy and folk tradition, all coexist in harmony.
