Ellie Bleach today released new single ”Lakehouse”. The new song follows standalone single ”Pamela” released earlier this summer. Ellie will perform with Girl Ray on two of their UK tour dates and will support Gabe Coulter at London’s Sebright Arms on September 28th.
On the new single Ellie says; “Lakehouse is narrated by a silver spoon heiress with a marriage at breaking point. She’s attempting to patch things up with a trip to their family’s lake house. I love creating characters who are repressing or restraining something primal, so it feels fitting to suggest the wife’s jealousy could turn murderous, as hinted by the track’s lyrics – ‘you’re gonna die when you see it,’ ‘it’s dangerous in the country darling,’ ‘wring the neck of what we used to be.“
