Paul “HR” Hudson Front man of the iconic punk band Bad Brains, formed in 1979. He’s releasing a new album, Give Thanks, which drops on 18th October via Hardline Entertainment.

Originally formed under the name Mind Power a Jazz Fusion band, a name and direction change soon came. Incorporating speed and an incredible precision, Bad Brains quickly became what’s regarded as the most influential band in American punk history, namechecked and cited as such by the likes of Dave Grohl (Scream, Nirvana, Foo Fighters), Ian Mackaye (Fugazi, Minor Threat) and Henry Rollins (Black Flag)

HR became interested in reggae and the Rastafarian movement. This gave him a self purpose, and to this he found that reggae was just as effective as punk music at getting the message across. He then Formed his own band Human Rights. This band over the years has taken many forms, but still pushes out his great love and also passion for exactly as it – Human Rights and the belief for equality.

HR’s Music still holds the same strength and feeling for Human Rights, Dreams, and self belief that it always has.
