Joji has announced a run of Australian and New Zealand headline shows for November, continuing a global tour that will also take in North America, Europe and Asia. The dates include stops in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, extending a touring cycle that has already encompassed major international arenas including London’s O2 and Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
Born George Kusunoki Miller, Joji has built a career defined by reinvention. Emerging initially through online personas including Filthy Frank and Pink Guy, his shift toward music marked a deliberate repositioning, foregrounding restraint and emotional ambiguity over the confrontational humour that first brought him visibility.
His music occupies a space between R&B, lo-fi and trip-hop, characterised by minimal arrangements and a vocal delivery that often favours understatement. This approach has remained central to his work, allowing atmosphere and pacing to carry emotional weight without excess.
Earlier this year, Joji released his latest album Piss in the Wind, continuing his exploration of isolation, detachment and personal transition. The record builds on a catalogue that has steadily expanded since his debut, reinforcing his position within contemporary alternative R&B.
The upcoming tour will present material from across his releases, bringing his live performance back to Australian and New Zealand audiences for the first time in several years.
